| My life had become rather stressful lately. I had gotten a new promotion, a new apartment, and the same old headache. I had a little vacation time saved up. So I decided to take some. Where would I go? What will I do? I asked myself leaning back on my tattered futon and with my feet up my coffee table. I opened up a cold one. I remember, as a kid I used to spend time at Dire Lake. My family had a cabin there about a mile from the lake. The family used the cabin for making moonshine. This was our family business and business was good. I was the first in six generations who didn’t work in the family business. Dire Lake was about a six-hour drive away. I put some clothes together and planned to head out the first thing in the morning. The next morning started like most mornings, slow and confusing. I got dressed and started my trip. I stopped at a gas station a couple of miles from my home. I filled up the truck, got some beer, and a cup of coffee. It was a pretty peaceful ride most of the way. There were a few spots of construction and people rubbernecking at accident scene. I knew the way to get up to Dire Lake I couldn’t forget it I had been there thousands of time. But, I wasn’t quite sure on how to get to the cabin. I still a little fogging on some things since the accident. I guess I will be to figure it out once I get there. I reached the road that lead to the lake entrance. Someone had an accident and the entrance was blocked. Rescue personnel and police were everywhere. There three cars stuck here like me. I tried to find something on the radio, but out here the only thing that played was classical. I did mind classical music I just needed to be in the mood for it. Today, I guess wasn’t a Mozart day. I rolled on my window and poked my head out. I wondered if I could see a glimpse of the accident. After seeing nothing but the same old overweight Sheriff standing chewing on his cigar just like he did when I was a kid. His arms were like cannons and his stomach was quite a bit larger than I remember. Now his hair had more grey and thinner, but that was definitely him. He turned and looked around at the line that started to form up behind me. Then his eyes focused in on me. He stared for a minute, and then looked as if he recognized me. A small grin came across his face and he started walking towards my car. I smiled and waved back. I have seen you awhile. How have you been? He asked Good, I answered Where you going? He asked Up to the cabin? I answered

| Great job! Good solid writing. Your descriptions are vivid and your action is hot. You could do much with this and I would love to see this continued.
