Like any trusty object of comfort I’ll be there for you, with open arms to soothe and reassure – until you’ve reached the rest you seek. Do you like me? I like you too. You’ll speak, and I’ll smile and laugh – until you want to hear me laugh again and again. I’m a regular Chatty Cathy – new and exciting in plastic wrap… Who took away the plastic wrap? Whose hand wrenched my hair and whose muddied fingers soiled my play dress? Perhaps it was all in good fun… You didn’t mean to break me, but now the damage has been done – irreversible, and I am just another disposable toy. | ||||||
