| For Him, Taken Too Young |

| You came to me as a tide of honey Sweet waves filling my harbor with passion So gently lapping on my lonely shore Clearing all scars of the others before. The sun overflowed and diamonds poured down Butterflies and birds brought color and song My secret tide pools all eddied and swirled With fluids that glide to my very core. Night brought fiery tempests of lust and love Pounding massive tsunamis to my womb Crashing violently against my beach With clattering sand and a rush of foam. Now that you’re gone I comb your ebb tide edge For pretty shells and shiny colored stones. | ||||||

| PJ, I find myself drawn repeatedly to your sonnet. There is a beguiling sadness about it. |

| A powerfully metaphoric poems with sweet musical lines to a cacophony, to resigned remembrance. This is real poetry at a high level. I think we can all identify with it.
