| They reached the restaurant. Kikuyu removed her shoes as they entered, Sam following her direction. They were shown to their seating area. Sam’s tall frame wasn't built for sitting on chairs with no legs. Kikuyu smiled as Sam tried to sit down without making himself look foolish. A young woman dressed in a kimono served them Sake, it had an acquired taste as Sam discovered but he wanted to try it all. It was the only way he could put together an honest piece of writing for his editor. The evening passed at a steady pace. Sam was really enjoying Kikuyus' company, a good thing as they were to spend the best part of the next few days together, before Sam returned to England. They discussed the places that Kikuyu would show him. It was decided that they would visit the Umeda Sky Building the next morning followed by a visit to one of Osakas' multitude of shopping districts. Kikuyu had a sense of humour, which Sam found very attractive. She was 27 years old. Quite petite, she had shoulder length hair, deep chocolate brown in colour, her eyes a similar hue. Sam couldn't help but notice her breasts. She had the smallest waist he had ever seen on a woman. He didn't normally like skinny women, but with Kikuyu there was something different. Was it his insatiable sexual appetite speaking? He tried to keep his mind on the evening and not on her chest, which proved to be difficult as she sat directly opposite him in a tank top that crossed over just at that point where a woman’s curves meet. She hadn't noticed him staring at her, almost undressing her. She laughed as he struggled once again with the chopsticks, dropping noodles over his khaki chinos for the umpteenth time. "Are you married Kikuyu?" out of the blue he asked. "No, I am single, enjoying my career," she happily replied. "You Sam?" she asked. "No, I've never settled, my career also taking pole position." "Grand Prix," she teased, again amusing him with her intelligent humour. He drank more Sake. Sam had taken to the rice wine with a great ease. "Maybe we should get you back to the hotel Sam; we have a busy few days ahead." Sam agreed, as he clumsily rose from the floor. Kikuyu well rehearsed glided to her feet. Thehustle of Osaka hadn't diminished in the few hours that had passed. Sam stooped to tie his lace on his shoe. He lifted his head, Kikuyu walked in front slowly; he watched her tiny physique sway gently as she took a few slow steps. She wore a knee length skirt; her tiny waist still enthralled Sam. The street lights shone in the dark tresses of her hair. 'Why oh why does she have to be so damn cute,' he thought as he straightened up. She glanced back as if she heard his thoughts, smiling she asked, "Do you have a good view of the city Sam?” "Yes, would you like to see it?" he hastily responded, the sake had gone to his head. "I don't think that would be a good idea Sam, it’s late." It wouldn't be the first brush off he had. He didn't show his disappointment, replying, "You're right." They reached the front of the hotel; they confirmed the time once again for the morning. "Oyasuminasai Sam, Mata ashita." He looked at her puzzled but knowing it was probably goodnight. She smiled “Goodnight Sam, see you tomorrow."
