Had one star or planet, one molecule, one sperm and ovule combination changed anywhere along the vast generations of this lineage, one stick, one stone, one axe, one spear, one arrow, one bullet, one bomb, one disease, or any of the other multitude of dangers of life affected it, in any appreciable way, these lines of ancestry would have changed unalterably. The following encounter could never have existed or taken place in the entire history of the universe. The odds of all these events ever happening again in the same precise sequence are far, far greater than winning the lottery a billion, billion, billion times IN A ROW.

One day, not that long ago, by cosmic time, a man, having faced the incalculable odds of ever being born himself, impregnated his wife who had also faced those same odds, again with the correct specific sperm to her correct specific egg, with the timing and preciseness mentioned earlier. A beautiful woman was born. Another man on another day, with another specific woman, both also having faced those same odds, repeated the process containing the same, selection, timing and preciseness and I was born. Some time passed.

My parents moved from a small rural town, to a larger city. I began school, as did she. Our paths crossed often in high school, and although we did not date, we knew each other, as did our families. After high school, she moved to another town in another State, I attended college, then moved to a completely different town in a completely different State. Some time passed.

One day, I decided, at the last minute, to attend a family college graduation party. She was there, inexplicably, also deciding to attend, at the last minute. When we saw each other, I moved to her, she kissed my cheek and we hugged each other tightly, in greeting, chatting amicably about various family doings.

A high school class reunion was scheduled for our class in another six weeks, and we briefly discussed it during the party. I urged her to go, adding I hoped to see her there. She was unaware of the reunion, and seemed to me to be a bit disinterested. I assumed it was a reluctant husband thing. Three weeks later I received a call from her. She had obtained my phone number from my brother, who had, thankfully, urged her to call me. She let me know she was interested in going to the reunion, but did not wish to go alone. I was stunned. I was always immensely attracted to her, but assumed she was married, and like a brainless idiot, never bothered to check. My brother, fully aware of her considerable attributes, later confirmed the "brainless idiot" part to me when he discovered my error. I had totally misread her silent reaction to my "hope to see her there" as disinterest. Since she had no place to stay, I "graciously" offered my home for the evening and longer if she desired. One idea led to another, and she invited me to join her to spend a week at an Oceanside condo, she had already rented. The timing was perfect, just prior to the high school reunion.

Over and above all of the other meticulous events mentioned earlier, the creation of speech, books, towns, hospitals, condos, grade schools and high schools, reunions and the discovery or invention of fire, the wheel, electricity, cars, phones, airplanes, and all of the other myriad of necessary things involved, simply within the confines of our Earth, which allowed this meeting to take place, had to happen with incalculable timing, preciseness and order.

The night we arrived at the condo, we decided to celebrate our impending high school reunion with a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and a huge bowl of steamed (peel and eat) shrimp. Having already discovered she was very intelligent, and could talk about a wide range of subjects, I began to look at her, discreetly, while we sat on a large day bed drinking champagne, and peeling and eating the shrimp. Each of us, more often than not, fed a freshly peeled one, dipped generously in sauce, to the other. She had the face of a sexy angel, bright eyes, full sensuous lips, and beautiful light butterscotch hair forming a wonderful halo-like appearance around her face. The light scent of her perfume was intoxicating, adding to the sensation of unmistakable splendor. She wore no bra and I peered at the outline of her breasts, full, firm, and straining against her designer t-shirt. They were topped with large nipples, making an unmistakable impression against her shirt and on my appreciative eyes. Her posture was superb, as she sat erect on the bed. The beautiful arch in her back, the straight line on up to her soft enticing shoulders, simply added to the beauty of her graceful movement.

Another beautiful story, cocoa! I don't even know where to begin, but you have put into words the meaning of true love. It is so often hard to describe, but you have done it in such a tender, romantic way, speaking to a true romantic's heart. Beautiful...just beautiful, cocoa.

Love in context. That last page was as good as it gets. "An instant in time" is right! Any philosophy professor I know would have to give this and unequivocal "A!"
