| That weekend in Vegas |

| Whitney was in Las Vegas with her girlfriends. It was something they did once a year, a girl's weekend away from the husbands and kids. They had just gotten into the night club when she saw a familiar face. She wasn't sure at first it was really him, but as she got closer she knew and she froze. It had been 7 years since she had talked to him. As she stood there watching him, she wasn't sure if she wanted to see him now. Whitney met Michael online. They were both single and the chemistry between them was instant. They shared many long steamy nights together and had even fallen in love. Well as in love as you can be with someone you never met. As the months went on Michael and Whitney had met other people and had each gotten married. Somewhere along the way they lost touch. Now here he was, 3 feet away from her and all she wanted was to run away. Michael was having a few drinks with his brothers to celebrate. It was his little brother's bachelor party. When for some reason he turned and his eyes locked on Whitney. She was as beautiful as he remembered. Even though it was only from pictures, he knew right away it was her. Michael thought to himself, what a small world. He started over towards her not really knowing what he was going to say, just knowing that he couldn't let this moment pass again. Whitney could feel her legs shake a little as he walked over to her. They hugged briefly, chatted for awhile and decided to move to a larger table. They all had a few drinks together and danced for awhile. Michael and Whitney traded cell phone numbers and parted ways. The guys were going to hit a strip club and they girls decided to stay and dance. Whitney and her girlfriend decided to call it a night around 2 AM. She was feeling a little tipsy as she headed to her hotel. She opened the door to her room and was just starting to close it when her phone rang. "Hello?" she said. The voice on the other end of the line as clear and familiar as her own. Michael had a great time with his brothers, they had seen a great show, but the only thing that had really been on his mind all night was her. Maybe it was the booze or perhaps the strippers and maybe it was just Vegas that caused him to make that call. "Hi, I just thought I would call and see if you would like to talk a little more. Ya know, more about the past and what our lives are like now." Michael said. "I think we both have had enough to drink, so I won't ask you if you would like to talk over a drink. Would it be alright if I came up, so we can talk?"

| Great story, Shy!! I liked that way you made people see that some feelings can still linger, even after going separate ways. And, the sex was yummy! Keep it up!! |

| Here months later I reread this story as it was great the first time. Whitney is quite a beautifully developed character. It is interesting how at first she wants to hide but he let's her know he wants her in his life as he always has, and she is taken by that. Each event shows their characters to be human and endearing, charmed by each other (love), and happy to have each other. The writing style is really clear and efficient. No terse, hard to understand phrases or sections. It was an easy flow that gives it a chance to let the charm of the plot line develop unencumbered. I know I enjoyed this read more than the first. Thank you for sharing you considerable talents with us Shy.
