Both male and female rabbit fleas can't produce the horomones that regulate sexual maturity. Their sex functions only mature after they feed on a pregnant doe.

Young elephants (and I've seen my horse foals do this too) eat dung. They do this to "inoculate" themselves with the bacteria culture they need to digest grass and grains. They don't have this bacteria when they are born.

The stone age is not yet over. Cardiac and eye surgeons sometimes use scalpels made from flaked obsidian, because the edge is sharper than any that can be produced on a metal blade.
