DARK EYES

While I am on beautiful Russian songs, this is my all time favorite song from that country. It is actually a Gypsy song. It is called "Dark Eyes" [Ochii Chorniye] about a man who is in love with a woman who has such dark eyes and is so breath-takingly beautiful that he loves her and fears her, and just knows that as much as they love each other, those dark eyes tell him that one day she will lead him to his doom.
I have sung it many times in Russian and always love to do it. Audiences always love it! Below is the song played and skated to by Sasha Cohen, our great figure skater in the 2006 Olympics:
