| Inspired Author | Romance is not completely dead. My husband and I have been married for six years this past October. We did not have the money to go out and do anything so he cooked me dinner and sat with me all evening watching television. All the while he was either holding my hand or had his arm around me. Now it may be true that this was not roses and chocolates but it suited very well indeed. The loving affection and attentiveness of the one that you love is the most romantic thing in my opinion. Courtesy is always good but love and affection is better. I just happen to be one of the lucky ones whose husband has no qualms with showing every day no matter where we are that he loves me. I am sure he is not the only one.

They don't deserve your kindness. I also believe we ladies should show you fellows the same love and attention, in kind. Why does it only have to be one way? I love to show my appreciation for things in so many little ways. It is exciting for me to create small surprises, or do unexpected kind gestures. When I can make him happy, or put a smile on his face, it makes me happy too. This world would be a whole lot nicer if we were all able to be a bit less selfish and do nice things for each other.
