PMs and Chat History ....... not good

PM's show up in chat history for all to see.

Chat history can't be cleared.

Chat history goes with a person to another room.

Hi Lushi,

Chat history _does_ show in every room - the public chat _ONLY_ though - and it only lists the last 5 or 6 lines I believe [hint: if you don't want to public history to show to the next person joining just type 5-6 more lines before leaving the room].

PM history does _NOT_ show in any room, regardless of where you had those.

What you saw probably was the 'Nickname1 => Nickname2' messages, which are _not_ PMs.

In public, you can select from the list of persons in chat room [one click] and everything else you say from now on will be shown - again, in public - as Nickname1 => Nickname2.

To clear that, you click [once] on 'All' at the top of the usernames.

To PM with someone, you need to select that name and choose 'Private message'.. which will open a completely separate window - that conversation does _not_ show in the room chat history.

Hi everyone,

Lushi, Cosmogirl and myself have tested this in chat yesterday.

The following results [confirmed] have been found:

1. Public chat history is visible for _all_ for the last 6 lines of chat [can be seen either by using the 'History' button or when logging to the room]

2. PM chat history shows _ONLY_ to those people who were involved in the PM discussion [i.e. if Person1 PMs with Person2 and they leave the room or consult the room chat history, they will both see their PMs listed - however, anyone else will only see their public messages recorded].

In other words - it's all good. 8-)

yes, its odd that the last few lines remain visible....anyone know why that is?
