mindspired v4.0 is being baked!

Greetings mindfuls!

We are getting very close on deploying mindspired v4.0!

There are a few major enhancements for the site as part of this release - and the most notable are:

- tabs in profiles - we are now able to separate the profile fields by tabs and show much more information.

- profile messages - feedback system for each member

- visitor tracking on profile pages - you can see who visited/viewed your profile

- custom icons per forum and per story category

- navigation bar notification system

- friendship/buddy system - enhanced as well to be part of the profile

- code security fixes

- more performance tweaks which will result in a faster and richer experience!

We have added lots of new features in this release - I will post an announcement soon with the entire list.

Greetings everyone!

The new mindspired v4.0 style has been applied on top of the major update from yesterday.

Go ahead and check the new profile visual layout for any member - all main areas have tabs to better organize the information [simply click on a member name in any post and you will see the new design].

New enhancements added to the mindspired:

1. Visitor statistics and messages:

- any member can check his/her own profile - or any other profile - and see how many visits that page had - and from whom. These numbers include guest [anonymous/unregistered] visits as well.

- any member can leave a profile message to another member - which will be displayed publicly for everyone to see. Please remember that we will not tolerate rude or spam-like behaviour. The same guidelines and rules from the forums apply to this new area as well.

2. A welcome box with custom messages [per day] has been added to the user statistics area - top right corner. This way, the Hump Day will never be forgotten!

3. A new info bar has been added just below the navigation bar. This new bar will scroll the latest post, topic, member and, soon to be implemented, story - in mindspired.

4. The friend system/module is now larger - you can request a friendship from other members and each profile will contain a public list of friends as well.

5. Profile album pictures! Now any member can upload more than just one picture to their profile - and they will become publicly accessible only from their profile for any other visitors to see.

6. We have added a new 'longevity' field to the profile bit - in the forums/stories section. Each member receives a star for every 6 months that pass since he/she registered. This way, everyone will be able to see if a certain member has been with us for a longer or shorter time

7. The chat statistics are back on the forum home page - fully working.

A few other enhancements will be added as part as this new version - notably in the profiles area and optimizations for search engines. Stay tuned for more info!
