Cool beans!! I sure hope that the screen can be put back to full screen. Just tried it, and it is so weird typing on that small of a screen...lol

Good morning everyone,

The chat upgrade has been completed successfully.

Kitty, the chat window can be resized/moved to occupy the full screen again.

New features for the chat:

1. Video chat in private now requires the approval of the other party in order to start

2. Timestamp on all messages is enabled by default

3. Event-based rooms are now available [more about this in the next days]

4. Mute function [moderators can now mute specific users]

5. Floating chat window is available [we will test in on the site in the next few days]

6. HTML-based chat [non-flash] available [we will test this on the site in the next few days as well]

7. Performance improvements on loading the chat / chatting

Ok...I am so NOT a computer savvy person...forgive my ignorance, but what is a floating chat?? LOL

Hi Kitty

A floating chat is a reduced version of the chat contained in a small box that is visible on certain areas of the site.

Picture 8-9 lines of text in a box displayed on top of the forums area in the bottom right corner.

The new chat version has this capability however I believe we will use the full screen chat only - it makes for a better chat experience for everyone,
