mindspired.com v2.1 features and enhancements

Good morning everyone,

We are rapidly approaching the launch of mindspired.com v2.1!

I thought it might be a good time to give a brief list of the new additions that will show on the site:

Features:

1. Re-designed front-page [implemented]
- new look-and-feel, better arrangements of the current blocks
- optimized content
- less blocks
- newer technology deployed
- faster response time/increased performance
- [d]fixed width size[/d]

2. Re-designed menu-navigation, stories categories [implemented]
- quicker access to information

3. New blurb on the front page [implemented]
- [bit of a surprise..]

4. Re-designed stories module [implemented]
- easier story pagination
- anonymous users will only see partial story content - registration will be required to read the entire story
- better story publishing system

5. FAQ module [implemented]
- the official source for questions and answers on mindspired.com [stories, forums, gallery, etc]
- any member will be able to ask questions or provide answers and thus contribute to the FAQ system

6. Age and gender on the profile page [implemented]
- more fields available on the profile page

7. Re-designed flash chat client visual elements [90% ready]
- different pre-defined text messages
- more animations/visual indicators

8. More themes available to be used [implemented]
- two more themes will be available at launch

9. Polls [implemented]
- we will run periodic polls to have some input from our members on many subjects [erotic ones are given priority, always!]

*** UPDATE ***

10. Updated comments module [implemented]
- comments will be shown only for stories
- comments for pictures/everything else - will have a separate block/display

11. Tags block is back! [tested and ready]
- each story will have keywords/tags associated with it, so that they can be categorized using multiple criterias

Fixes:

1. Chat client resize [implemented]
- the chat client adjusts automatically to the browser size - enjoy!

2. Chat profile link [under testing]

3. Edit forum posts [tested and ready]
