| Administrator | Lily: Wow... it's a great honor to be here with you - can you tell me more about yourself? Your fans are dying and probably praying that you're still single and looking for the perfect man or woman.... that we all claim to be! Are you single/married - children - pets - hobbies - career? Jillybaby: Thank you Lily. Stop teasing me - the honor is all mine, Oh Mighty Administator. giggles. Seriously, I am always impressed by your enthusiasm and work-rate in keeping the site on the right track, and we all owe you a big vote of thanks. Lily: lets give a BIG hand to the mindpsired project team for keeping us all up to date and for keeping things… lets say interesting. Jillbaby: To begin with Lily, could I please explain to members that, as you know, for nearly a month, due to technical difficulties with my account, I have been unable to post comments or replies to stories. So may I please take this opportunity to thank all the members who have said nice things about my stories and voted for them; and to apologise for not being able to post my favourable comments on some of the fine stories which I have read. I hope that they don’t think that I have been ignoring them. I am delighted that that the new launch has sorted things out. About me? I have been living with my partner for nearly two years; no children or pets. I enjoy keeping fit by jogging and daily Pilates exercises. I am quite a keen gardener - in the summer. Laughs I relax last thing at night with an hour or so of carefully selected and recorded TV programmes or films. With cable we get all the top American products. “The Sopranos” has just finished in the UK but they are re-running every one of the complete series from day one – wonderful stuff! Gosh, they look so young in the early episodes. I am also a fan of all the “Law and Order” spin-offs. America has such great script-writers. Also, to my delight the latest series of the very dry comedy, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” has just started – I love it. laughs Sadly I don’t have much time to read these days, but I do manage to get through a quality newspaper every day. My main hobby at the moment is, as you might have guessed, writing what I have no hesitation, or shame in calling porn. I did a stint as a “glamour” model from `04 to `06 – a bit of a damsel in distress story, which I won’t bore you with – before I returned to my professional job. The modelling life and its social side gave me some very interesting experiences and material which I draw on sometimes for my stories. Lily: Well… I would love to see some of those photos! Umm… are there any nudies? Probably best I don’t see any, you are a wonderful person inside and out and drop dead gorgeous, seeing you naked could be the first time I’ve considered taking on the title of stalker! I guess I’ll just keep you in my dreams – for now! When did you get a start at writing such erotic tales and what/who inspired you to do so? Jillbaby: In `06 I came across a “contact” site on the net – not as cultured as Mindspired, of course – smiles. I wasn’t interested in meeting-up with anyone but was at a loose end while waiting to start my new job and it was a bit of fun. My first writing (apart from essays at school and University, which I always loved doing) was a fantasy piece for my profile on that site. It got a very good reaction, and to my surprise I got nicely wet when writing it, blushes . The site also had a magazine section for erotic stories so I started reading those. As other writers on Mindspired have done, I decided that I could produce stories as good if not better, so started from there. I quickly got the writing bug, and now spend as much time as I can spare on it. I was fortunate enough to have this site recommended to me last year. Lily: We are damn thankful to have you here with us too! Thank that person for us too! And may I add, you can definitely write a VERY arousing tale sexual fantasy! After seeing all those people with their work published, what was the very first story you wrote and how did you feel after it was published? Jillbaby: My first real story was called “A Hot Afternoon.” Before coming on to this site I had only sent it to email friends who I exchange stories with, and chat about writing. When I saw the Hot Summer Contest on here, it seemed an appropriate theme. So I entered it, and as you know, it won – to my complete amazement and joy. Just imagine - me, a writer? Laughs Lily: It’s always such a rush to get your name out there for people to see and an even greater rush to be recognized for your work. You though have gone one step beyond and actually have been paid to write. *reaches over and gives Jill a huge hug* Well deserved! Ok, back to the interview. How much do you depend on the reader's comments? And have the readers ever not appreciated your work as much as you thought they would? Jillbaby: That is a tricky one Lilly. You are leading me into dangerous territory – smiles. First of all I should say that I am extremely grateful for the very encouraging comments which I have received for my stories. It is always great to know that someone has not only enjoyed my story, but has taken the trouble to write in. Everyone likes their work of any kind to be valued. I have analyzed my own early reactions to comments from email friends on my stories; and those of men on whose stories I have done a critique; and I have decided that the effort that one puts into writing becomes a very personal thing. A story becomes one’s little creation, and there is an urge to defend it jealously. I would have compared it to a maternal instinct - laughs - if it wasn’t that some of the men seem amazingly sensitive to any criticism. Being anxious to improve my writing, I decided never to be offended by critical suggestions, but to examine them rationally. I know that I have benefitted from having faults pointed out, and hope to continue doing so. I am extremely grateful to those who have helped me. I do believe that those who automatically reject criticism are not doing their writing any favours. Having said that, I do feel good when I see my stories receive favourable ratings. I am honest enough to admit that sometimes I feel slightly irritated if stories which I did not find very enjoyable receive higher accolades than mine. However, I always remind myself of the very important fact that there is a wide variation in readers’ tastes, and in erotica/porn there are many different styles. I believe that on a site like this there is room to accommodate all of those. As the BDSM fans might say, “Different strokes for different folks.” grins Lily: I agree with you completely. I’ve been on the review side of the public and I really enjoy hearing how people feel unless it is out of pure lack of human feelings. That’s one reason why you have to register to comment. I think each person should take responsibility for their views, after all, this is an adult site. You have taken a first place in both of our contests, how does that feel? Do know that we judge on grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, presentation of material, arousal, originality and the overall appeal the story has. Probably some other things too! You've really done an outstanding job! Jillbaby: I could express the usual platitudes and sound like the speeches those Oscar winners make – smiles – but seriously, apart from my initial surprise and delight, the lasting effects have been a terrific boost to my confidence, and the inspiration to keep on writing and trying to improve. I didn’t have a clue as to the judging criteria you used, Lily; perhaps I should be thanking the English grammar teachers I have had, as well as the horny men who have given me erotic memories to draw on. laughs Lily: It never hurts to thank those people that have helped us succeed, even if they played a small part in it. Just so the rest of the authors know to step up their game... do you plan to enter all of the contests? Jillbaby: Again, that is a tricky one. I did feel embarrassed at scooping two prizes when there are so many good writers on the site, and I definitely do not want to sound big-headed. When I emailed my thanks for the second award, I promised not to enter any more contests, but was informed - jokingly I hope - that if I didn’t, I would be in trouble! chuckles So is that an offer I can’t refuse? We’ll see. smiles I have to say that the shine was taken off the second win, The Holiday Contest, by the very poor number of entrants. I understand why Night declined second prize, since it was only a two-horse race. I do hope that members will support the site by having a go in future contests. After all what have they to lose? You give people plenty of time to work on the theme, and there is really no excuse for not entering. Lily: Well, there were actually three entrants and Night only kind of declined his prize. He opted to pass it on to one of our lovely female members, who I understand is in heaven with her new toy purchase. *places my hand on Jill’s arm” We would be absolutely devastated if you didn’t reward us with another fabulous piece. Besides, I think it tells the rest of the authors that they need to step up their game. Maybe you have a secret weapon! Is there any ONE thing that inspires you to write such arousing material? Jillbaby: Come on Lily, stop yanking my chain! Smiles – Enough with the honour, already. Laughs Lily: Well, if you wanna go in the other room, I can …. Express my gratitude some other way! *winks* Jillbaby: Well I certainly aim to arouse my readers *fanning myself* and I use ideas and fantasies which arouse me. I have always had a high sex-drive, and over the years have read a fair amount of porn and erotica, as well as having enjoyed an active sex-life, so I am not short of material. – winks. But I have to admit that I use a lot of what would normally be wasted time - commuting, driving etc, for thinking up possible scenarios for a story. Do you think I might be a bit obsessive, Lily? laughs Lily: Not at all! I think, breathe, sleep and eat sex. I mean, scenarios that I’d love to write about. I know how you feel. Not to be too nosey or anything, but what have you done with your winnings? Did you purchase anything really special, like maybe a new toy for added inspiration? Jillbaby: Well, you are nearly right - smiles. But I have a trusty jelly vibe which never lets me down, so I put the money towards a rather nice “cocktail” dress. It is green silk in the cheongsam style which I love. I am slim with long legs but a smallish bust, so the tight-fitting style suits me, especially without a bra. It is throat fastening, scooped back, mid-thigh and one side slit. Hopefully it will lead me into some interesting encounters to feed into my stories - chuckles Lily: Ummmm… *clears my throat* WOW! That is one hell of a vision! If you ever need any help wiggling into that…. You just let me know. For all of us who'd like to get to know you a little better, maybe lick a spot here and there - do you cyber? Jillbaby: Sighs-I had a go at that a couple of years ago, but after the initial excitement – typing with one hand etc – I found it boring. And it was taking up too much time when I could be writing - which was making me horny anyway! When I am exchanging emails about stories I sometimes include a little fantasy episode, cyber style. Lily: My kind of girl, all work! Is there any advice that you'd like to give those potential authors who just haven't taken the step to submit their work yet? Jillbaby: Well it depends on what is preventing them from taking the plunge. It takes a lot of time to produce good writing, and as Cocoa said in the previous Spotlight article, plenty of revision is essential. So they must be prepared to set a part of the day or week aside for writing until they achieve something that will do them justice. Also if potential writers do have the time, they should try to read as much advice as they can find on the subject of writing, especially erotic material. There were excellent articles in one of the site forums, which I found very helpful, but I am not sure if they are still there Lily. If the writers are unsure as to the quality of a story they have done, perhaps they should try to contact another member who might be prepared to offer an opinion and advice. It might be possible for the site to publish a list of those volunteers who would be prepared to help. And finally, I would say - have a go! The thrill of seeing their story in print for the first time is something that they will never forget; and who knows, it might get them addicted to writing – there are many worse things to do. laughs Lily: Great advice Jill ! Have you been to our chat rooms and tried out the new video chat feature yet? Is there a time which is more convenient for you if say... some fans want to come see you in chat? I would love to get to know more men and women on the site, and would be delighted to receive a message from anyone interested in exchanging ideas and general chit-chat about writing. Jillbaby: Like cyber, I did try online one-to-one chats and chat rooms in the past. I am not a touch-typist unfortunately, and found it a bit of a strain; and more importantly it was taking up an awful lot of time. I have to say, Lily that I much prefer exchanging emails. However there is an excitement and immediacy to be had from chat, and I know that many people enjoy it. I would recommend any member to try it and see how they get on. Lily: I do really enjoy the video chat, even though I don’t have my own cam, but I really like seeing the people I’m talking to. You’ll have to give that a try some time. And, yes that takes up time too. I think I have to though.. its in my contract – besides, I just love those guy/gals in chat! Ok… last question and we can get out of here, *I’d love to buy you a drink* Are you currently working on another story? What is it about and when can we expect it? Oh, my bad? That was more than one but I think you can handle it! Jillbaby: Another story? Laughs. I am crazy Lily; I always have about three or four stories kicking about, at various stages of completion, although I always finish them in the end. I like to leave a story if I don’t feel right about it, rather than struggle to finish it. I find that new ideas pop into my head for one of the stories in progress, and I return to it refreshed, although maybe after several weeks. I have just sent you Part Two of Vengeful Wife, and I am working on another part. I don’t use the professional method of having a set story-line in advance, but just go where my horny character takes me. You never know what’s round the next corner, or tree! laughs Lily: Oooops, just one more, if that’s okay! Is there anything else about you that you'd like to share with your loyal fans and other members? Jillbaby: If you will pardon my impudence in making a suggestion, I would like to see the site offering more opportunities for the serious critiquing of stories, to help writers. I realise that this has to be done privately rather than in public, because of people’s sensibilities. Perhaps something along the lines of what I suggested above might help. Don’t get me wrong. The lovely comments that writers make about their fellows’ stories are essential and encouraging. But if we want to improve, we need some truthful and constructive critiques as well. It doesn’t have to take the fun out of it, and I don’t want to sound pompous and serious. But it is a site for writers after all. Lily: Well Jill, we actually have an area for that and we had hoped for the same – it’s the Beginner’s Bench. We though other more refined writers could offer some grammatical, structure, plot and other ideas to the newbies. But, it seems that no one wants to take that stance and I can understand why. So, sadly enough, we are going to be getting rid of the beginner’s bench for that reason. You are free to post any of the material you find that you feel will be helpful to other writers. We have a section for that as well. Jillbaby: Finally, thank you for giving me this spotlight opportunity; I am not sure if my junior status deserves it. I think that the site has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere and I hope that it continues to go from strength to strength. Rises and kisses Lily’s cheek Lily: *blushes* you are such a sweet gal. Thank you all for joining us and learning more about this fascinating woman! *grabs Jill’s hand* lets get out of here and work on a better kiss! *wink*

| Inspired Author | Well Jillbaby, let me be the first to congratulate you on your spotlight month. I have read some of your work and I believe I left my thoughts after it. I too had some difficulty in posting comments for a while and now that I can do so, I may go back and make some much needed comments. I love your work and am always looking for something new to inspire my own eroctic thoughts. I will be looking for new items from you to do just that.

| Inspired Author | Jillbaby, let me add my voice to our esteemed friends and say that I too am delighted you have joined this site and written such wonderful pieces for us to savour. I am almost inclined to compare your writing to Lily's as it has a powerful ability to arouse as she is such a master at.....yet you both have differences. In either case, I would not hesitate to make the time to read either of you. Also like her, my imagination tells me you must look damned fine in that green dress....(imagines a very 'leggy' look)..... Returning to the point, it has been great to read and react to your stories and comments, and I feel we are very lucky to have your hard work to keep us alive and licking...um...errrr.....I mean kicking!!
