Authors inspired

We tried this once before with the beginner's bench and was NOT successful. The Beginner's Bench will soon cease to exist. Perhaps it was the name that prevented the category to work the way it was designed. Maybe some of you felt sorry for these authors and decided praise for a job well done was a better option than a few suggestions on how to better their writing.

All of us that want to become better authors, myself included, look to other authors and readers to guide us in our ventures. I enjoy hearing what could have made my article better. Did I have a problem keeping your attention at any certain point? Did I lose you somewhere? Were you confused at any time? Was my grammar misused? Did I give too much information? Didn't I include enough sexual content? Were you more sleepy than aroused when you finished reading it? Did you stop reading before the end for some reason? These are some of the things I wonder when I write and publish a story. I do, of course, enjoy the praise and kindness that is given after each presentation. But I also know that there is room for improvement! Just because you offer some suggestions, doesn't mean you think you are a better author than the rest! It just means that you care and want that person to succeed as much as you want to succeed yourself.

We will start another NEW category for those authors that are just starting out. They are already mindspired and are looking for the assistance of other authors and readers for some advice they can use to better themselves.

Please be clear - these authors WANT our help to better themselves. Please provide some suggestions that will be useful. Each author featured in this category will have ASKED to be here, which means.... they NEED you.

We ask that you continue to offer suggestions and guidance in the manner that mindspired supports. Give clear and precise information for the author. Don't just come in and say "it's not good" Ok.. first we don't need to know that - we need to know WHY!

Constructive criticism is needed!

If you have any thoughts on this subject before we release the first story... please respond to this forum. We would love to hear your opinions.

We ask that you help make these authors better authors - and help them in their ventures. If this program does not work, the only alternative at this point is to reject those stories with no guidance to the author!

Sounds like a plan Lily. Everyone, experenced or not, needs some direction or inspiration at times. Some of the worlds greatest stories started out with "I'm sorry but that is just not quite right, maybe you need to..."
Again the wonderful minds of Mindspired are working overtime to give us all a great home.
