Absolutely. Writing erotica is like cybering with myself. The editing takes a little out of it, but the idea creation and the initial writing always gets me going. The inspiration to write a story for me generally starts with an erotic fantasy or experience. So, I am usually started before I get into it.

Yes, as I picture it in my mind I am aroused because it is either a fantasy I'd like to have fulfilled or is partially based on experience. But once I begin to chanel the image thru my fingers to the keyboard it is no longer mine and the pleasure dissipates.

When it is finally realized on the screen/paper, then the editing and the scary parts begin. Editing for flow, voice, tense, accuracy, etc., and scary because sometimes I write about things [perhaps small to others, but large to me] that involve my internal gatekeeper. But an amazing thing happens when I write from the fearful [tabu?] place; as I learn more about myself the lyrical side of my writing becomes stronger the the character connection is forged.

This could be why I have stacks have half begun stories that are pedestrians being run over! [pun intended]

Yes it does, as all of mine are about real girls and i imagine them doing what i make the the characters do for me. That said, i dont think i have ever got myself off over my own work.
